Busan Metropolitan City to Host “DSK (Drone Show Korea) 2026,” Advancing as an Industrial Innovation Platform

□ Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it will host “DSK (Drone Show Korea) 2026,” Asia’s largest drone exhibition and conference, at BEXCO for three days from February 25 to 27.
○ The event is co-hosted by Busan Metropolitan City, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Korea AeroSpace Administration, and organized by BEXCO and the Korea Unmanned Vehicle Systems Association.
○ This year, the event will be held on the largest scale ever, with 318 companies from 23 countries participating and 1,200 booths (26,508㎡).

□ This year’s DSK (Drone Show Korea), under the theme “The innovation hub of advanced technologies—from drones and aerospace to future mobility,” will expand beyond a drone-only exhibition into a broader showcase spanning related industries such as defense, space, and future mobility.
○ Leading domestic defense firms, including Korean Air Lines Co., Ltd., Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd. (KAI), and LIG Nex1, will present AI-based next-generation combat systems and integrated unmanned solutions. Innovative companies will also participate, including Poongsan Corporation’s attack-drone solutions, Doosan Mobility Innovation’s next-generation hydrogen drones, and Nearthlab’s aerial intelligence.
○ The event will operate an “AI Drone Security Pavilion” featuring counter-drone security solutions, as well as a “Space & Aerospace Joint Pavilion” introducing a space data center and lunar exploration technologies. In particular, Busan Metropolitan City plans to promote its progress in preparing for the commercialization of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and the achievements of its research on next-generation aircraft platform enabling technologies through the “Busan Future Aviation Cluster Pavilion.”
○ In addition, for the first time this year, Busan Metropolitan City will set up a dedicated investment attraction pavilion to promote the city’s investment infrastructure and provide tailored investment consultations for companies. It plans to carry out a range of investment attraction activities, including introducing future new-industry investment infrastructure such as Eco Delta City, promoting the Centum Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex, and providing customized consultations and networking for potential investors.

□ At the conference (Feb. 25–26), attended by 48 global leaders from 13 countries, participants will present future strategies and policy directions for the drone industry.
○ On Day 1, under the theme “2026 Air Mobility Trend,” the conference will share global market outlooks, and global companies such as IBM and Amazon Web Services (AWS) will discuss how quantum computing and agentic AI will change the mobility industry.

• ●Agentic AI: advanced autonomous AI technology capable of setting its own goals, establishing plans, and using various tools and systems to carry out real tasks without explicit instructions.
  ○ On Day 2, in-depth academic exchanges will take place through seven sessions across two tracks on topics including drone policies and regulations, New Space, and sustainable aviation.

□ In addition, to enhance business outcomes, the event will introduce a dedicated “DSK (Drone Show Korea) web app” applying an AI-based buyer-matching system, and operate “Networking Hour” by extending exhibition hall hours by one hour. It will also set up a “Drone Action Zone” where visitors can experience demonstration-based content, expanding both industrial outcomes and public engagement opportunities.
