Official Websites Launched for the 20th National Youth Para Games and the 55th National Junior Sports Festival

Busan Metropolitan City Mayor Park Heong-joon announced that, amid the hopes and expectations of Busan citizens, Busan Metropolitan City has launched the official websites for the 20th National Youth Para Games and the 55th National Junior Sports Festival.

The newly launched official websites offer not only event-related information—such as event introductions, program details, competition information, and announcements—but also a variety of tourism information including Busan’s restaurants, tourist attractions, and festivals, allowing visitors to enjoy watching competitions while also experiencing the flavors of Busan. The websites have been designed to be easy and convenient to use on mobile devices as well.

To commemorate the launch of the official websites, a quiz event will also be held. Applications can be submitted through the quiz event page (eventworld.co.kr/2026busan_sports_festival), and entries will be accepted until February 13. Winners will be selected by lottery from among those who submit correct answers, and various prizes—including chicken and coffee coupons—will be awarded to 500 people.

Meanwhile, the 20th National Youth Para Games will be held for four days from May 12 to May 15 at 18 venues including the Busan Asiad Main Stadium, featuring competitions in 17 sports. The 55th National Junior Sports Festival will be held for four days from May 23 to May 26 at 56 venues, featuring competitions in 40 sports.

Kim Wan-sang, Director General of the Sports Bureau of Busan Metropolitan City, stated, “The National Junior Sports Festival to be held this May will be prepared together with the citizens of Busan so that, in Busan—a global hub city and an international tourism city—we can create a moving moment where the Republic of Korea comes together as one.” He added, “Through the websites, we will provide not only event information but also a wide range of tourism information such as Busan’s restaurants and festivals, and we will do our utmost in preparing for the event so that it can contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”
