Busan Metropolitan City to Launch the “2026 Agricultural Technology Dissemination Demonstration Projects”

Busan Metropolitan City Agricultural Technology Center (hereinafter referred to as “the Center”) announced that it will 추진 the “2026 Agricultural Technology Dissemination Demonstration Projects,” targeting 16 projects at 38 sites, in order to strengthen the competitiveness of local agriculture through the dissemination of new technologies.

These demonstration projects aim to promote the on-site application and wider adoption of advanced agricultural technologies. They encompass a broad range of fields, including smart agriculture, eco-friendly and low-carbon agriculture, cultivation of professional agricultural manpower, and healing agriculture.

Key initiatives include cultivation technologies to respond to abnormal weather conditions, labor-saving and automation technologies, data-based management of cultivation environments, agricultural work safety and workforce development, and the operation of healing agriculture programs. Selected farmers, organizations, and related institutions will be provided with project funding and professional technical guidance to support the application of demonstration technologies.

Applications are open to farmers (who must be registered as agricultural management entities) or organizations (institutions) that are engaged in agricultural activities, have both an address and farmland (business site) in Busan Metropolitan City, and demonstrate a strong commitment to participating in the demonstration projects.

To ensure fairness and professionalism in the selection process, beneficiaries will be chosen through the Industry–Academia Cooperation Review Committee, composed of experts from industry, academia, and research institutions. The committee will comprehensively review project plans, feasibility of technology application, expected project outcomes, and potential for future expansion and dissemination.

Meanwhile, applications for the “2026 Agricultural Technology Dissemination Demonstration Projects” are open until January 30. Detailed information on each project and application procedures can be found on the Busan Metropolitan City Agricultural Technology Center website (busan.go.kr/nongup) or by contacting the relevant department by phone.

If there are no applicants or if the number of applicants falls short of the required number of project sites, an additional recruitment period will be conducted from February 2 to February 6.
