Busan Museum to Run Winter Vacation Program “K-Cultural Envoys: Find the Jobs Within the Joseon Tongsinsa!”

Busan Museum announced that it will run the 2026 winter vacation program, “K-Cultural Envoys: Find the Jobs Within the Joseon Tongsinsa!”, from January 13 to January 18.

This educational program is designed for elementary school students and will center on artifacts related to the Joseon Tongsinsa displayed in the museum’s permanent exhibition galleries. The program will be offered twice daily, at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., for a total of 12 sessions, with 20 elementary school students able to participate in each session.

The program will revolve around artifacts related to the Joseon Tongsinsa and include a variety of activities such as: ▲Understanding the roles of the Joseon Tongsinsa ▲Exploring the occupations within the Joseon Tongsinsa ▲Creating a “Joseon Tongsinsa Diplomatic Passport.”

The sessions will begin in the education room, where participants will learn about the historical significance and roles of the Joseon Tongsinsa, as well as the diverse occupations involved in the missions. They will then move to the Busan Gallery exhibition space to explore related artifacts and review what they learned through activity sheets. Finally, participants will choose the occupation they would like to take on if they were to join the Joseon Tongsinsa and wrap up the program by creating their own “Joseon Tongsinsa Diplomatic Passport.”

Registration for the program will begin at 10:00 a.m. today (the 6th) through the City’s Integrated Reservation System at reserve.busan.go.kr on a first-come, first-served basis.
