Recruitment for the 1st-Term 2026 Education Courses at the Busan Women’s Center

The Busan Women’s Center announced that it will begin accepting applications tomorrow (December 8) for its 1st-Term 2026 Education Courses.

This term’s courses are designed to support citizens in employment and business start-ups and to help office workers improve their skills. The program will run for approximately three months, from January 5 to March 31.

A total of around 1,700 participants will be recruited across 91 courses in nine fields—crafts, beauty, cooking, coffee, baking and pastry, sewing, foreign languages, computers, and senior teaching aids. The class schedule may vary depending on each course.

In particular, the Center will offer certification courses and practical lifestyle and culture programs, along with evening and weekend courses tailored for office workers.

Certification courses include Korean and Chinese Cuisine Craftsman, Makeup/ Nail/ General Hairdressing Technician, Information Technology Qualification (ITQ Excel), Basic TOEIC, and Floral Decoration Craftsman.
Evening courses include Coffee Barista Level 2 and foreign languages (English, Japanese, Chinese). Weekend courses include Family Home Baking, Clothing Making, and Calligraphy.

Any citizen aged 18 or older interested in the courses may enroll. Applications are accepted in three stages—priority, general, and additional recruitment—on a first-come, first-served basis through the Busan Women’s Center website: woman.busan.go.kr.

[Priority Recruitment] This phase is for socially disadvantaged groups, including basic livelihood security recipients and families with two or more children. It runs from December 8 at 9:00 a.m. to December 10 at 6:00 p.m.

[General Recruitment]
Phase 1 runs from December 17 at 9:00 a.m. to December 23 at 6:00 p.m. Individuals who have taken the same course for four consecutive terms may not register for that course this term.
Phase 2 runs from December 24 at 9:00 a.m. to December 31 at 6:00 p.m. Courses with fewer than 60 percent of seats filled as of 6:00 p.m. on the final day (December 31) will be canceled.

[Additional Recruitment] This phase runs after courses begin, from January 5 at 9:00 a.m. to January 11 at 6:00 p.m.
