Busan Becomes a City Where Running Feels Like Traveling: Introducing Busan’s Signature Run Trip Spots

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it has developed the run trip entertainment program My Mind, My Run in Busan to highlight the city’s terrain and vibrant atmosphere that make it ideal for running. The program will premiere today (December 3) on KBS WORLD TV.

Busan, where the sea, cityscape, and walking trails come together harmoniously, offers an optimal environment for year-round running. Its refreshing coastal views, varied elevations and slopes, and waterfront paths throughout the city create unique experiences for runners, making Busan a prominent domestic and international “run trip (Run+trip)” destination.
Run Trip (Run+Trip): A travel trend in which runners experience a city’s charm naturally while running.

Under the theme “BUSAN IS GOOD, RUN!”, the City captured the unique characteristics of Busan’s beautiful coastal scenery and distinctive urban running courses through immersive video content.

The program introduces:

• ●the tentatively named “Haedong Running Trail Course,” connecting Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, the Osiria Coastal Trail, and Jukdo; and

• ●the tentatively named “Songdo Haepoong-gil Course,” connecting the Namhang-dong Breakwater, Namhang Bridge, and Songdo Beach.

These routes are accessible to all ages and can be enjoyed throughout the year. Their diverse appeal—where the sea, city, and walking trails blend seamlessly—has drawn strong interest from domestic travelers visiting Busan for running trips.

The program is expected to introduce previously lesser-known run trip spots to international audiences, helping them discover new aspects of Busan and enhancing global recognition of its run trip attractions.
