2025 Seven Bridges Tour to Host the First “Busan Children’s Bicycle Festival”

Busan Metropolitan City Mayor Park Heong-joon announced that the city will host the 2025 Seven Bridges Tour – Busan Children’s Bicycle Festival on November 29 at 11:00 at the SpoOne Park Geumjeong Indoor Gymnasium.

This event aims to broaden the impact of the Seven Bridges Tour—which has established itself as Busan’s signature global sports tourism content—to citizens and future generations, while promoting a family-centered daily sports culture.

The festival consists of the Children’s Bicycle Race and a family play program featuring the global K-content “Catch! Tiniping.” All programs except the race will accept on-site registration on the day of the event, with first-come-first-served operation designed to make the festival easily accessible and enjoyable for as many children as possible.

For the Children’s Bicycle Race, 180 preschoolers aged 5 to 7 residing in Busan will participate. The race will be conducted safely on an indoor track, with separate qualifiers and finals by age and gender. Registration, which opened on November 19, quickly reached capacity, demonstrating high public interest. Before the competition begins, a pledge ceremony will be held in front of Mayor Park Heong-joon, where young participants will promise fair play and safe participation—an opportunity for them to feel proud as “little athletes of Busan.”

The Catch! Tiniping Play Zone will feature six daily sports programs including a bicycle stepper*, magic-wand ring toss, and more, as well as various experience stations such as Catch! Tiniping tattoos, crown-making, and a large air-balloon photo zone. Additionally, the atmosphere will be heightened by two sing-along** performances held in the morning and afternoon on opening day. These programs will operate through on-site registration, and the first 2,000 children visiting the festival venue will receive official “Catch! Tiniping” souvenirs.

Meanwhile, the Seven Bridges Tour held on September 21 drew over 3,000 participants and proved successful in attracting visitors while increasing local consumption and length of stay.

To build on this momentum, next year’s Seven Bridges Tour will introduce more family-participation programs, with the goal of evolving the event into a global marine-city sports tourism experience for citizens and families alike.

Mayor Park Heong-joon emphasized, “The value of daily sports lies not in preventing our children from falling, but in helping them learn the courage to get back up again,” adding, “Busan Metropolitan City will continue to expand a safe and enjoyable sports environment to make our city a better place to raise children and a place where they can freely run and play.”
