Women’s Culture Center to Hold Regular Performance “Night of the Arts”

□ “Embracing the End of Autumn with a Festival of Traditional Arts”

□ Busan Metropolitan City Women’s Culture Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) announced that it will hold the regular performance “Night of the Arts” at 7 p.m. on November 19 at the Grand Theater of the Busan Citizens’ Hall.

○ “Night of the Arts” is an annual event hosted by the Women’s Culture Center to promote the proper transmission of traditional arts and culture and to provide citizens with opportunities to enjoy cultural activities.

○ This year’s event will feature performances by five arts volunteer groups affiliated with the Center—Korean Dance, Folk Songs and Pansori, Traditional Percussion (Pungmul), Gayageum, and Guitar Ensemble—coming together on one stage to present a rich and engaging program.

□ The performance is open to all free of charge without any registration procedures. For more information, inquiries may be directed to the Center’s Management Team at 051-320-8341.

□ Since 1998, the Center has operated arts volunteer groups in six fields—Korean Dance, Folk Songs and Pansori, Traditional Percussion (Pungmul), Gayageum, Calligraphy, and Guitar Ensemble—based on talents developed through its cultural class programs. These groups provide cultural outreach performances and instructional volunteer services.

□ Lee Yeon-ak, Director of the Busan Metropolitan City Women’s Culture Center, stated, “We expect this ‘Night of the Arts’ performance to offer a platform for local artists and provide citizens with a wide range of cultural experiences,” adding, “We ask for the community’s interest and participation in this event, which will beautifully fill the night with the unique charm of performances across five artistic fields.”
