2025 Busan Youth Global Job Fair Opens Today (Nov. 10)

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it will hold the “2025 Busan Youth Global Job Fair” at 10 a.m. today (Nov. 10) in the Grand Conference Room and Auditorium on the first floor of City Hall.

This job fair has been organized to help young people in Busan strengthen their international capabilities and take their first steps onto the global stage. The event is co-hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and co-organized by the Busan Economic Promotion Agency and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.

This year’s fair expands beyond its previous focus on Asian companies to include English-speaking countries such as the United States and Australia. The recruitment sectors are diverse, covering information technology (IT), service industries, dental technicians, childcare teachers, and chefs, offering young job seekers a broad range of opportunities.

A total of 36 outstanding overseas companies from nine countries are participating, with plans to hire 270 individuals. During the preliminary application period in September and October, 570 applicants submitted their résumés, demonstrating high interest in the event.

The fair consists of on-site job interviews, global employment lectures, overseas employment counseling, and side events.

The Global Employment Lectures will cover “The Working Holiday System and Prevention of Overseas Employment Scams” and “U.S. Employment Mentoring,” providing essential information and practical insights about working abroad.

The Overseas Employment Counseling Booths will offer customized consulting services, including:

• ●English résumé and interview consulting

• ●Japanese résumé and interview consulting

• ●K-Move School overseas employment training consultation

• ●Overseas work experience programs

• ●Domestic reemployment support programs

Side events include a stamp tour, Dream Closet (free interview suit rental), and a City Policy Promotion Booth.

The opening ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Nov. 10), attended by the Vice Mayor for Administrative Affairs, officials from the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, among others.

Anyone interested in overseas employment can participate by registering in advance through the Busan Job Information Network or WorldJobPlus, or by signing up on-site for same-day participation.

Meanwhile, Busan Metropolitan City is also promoting the “Busan Youth Global Job Challenge Project,” the first municipal initiative linking young people who have gained global experience through overseas work programs with local companies to support their successful employment upon return to Korea.

Through this project, young people with overseas work experience can quickly find stable employment and settle into local companies, while businesses can secure globally competent talent, laying the foundation for sustainable regional economic growth.
(Under the project, companies hiring overseas-experienced youth on a regular employment basis after internship can receive support for up to five interns, 1 million KRW per person per month for up to three months.)
