Busan to Host “2025 Passion & Fashion Busan” and “Busan Fashion Week” Exhibition and Fashion Show Come Together as One Platform for Footwear, Textile, and Fashion Industries

From October 30 to November 1 at BEXCO, Busan Metropolitan City will jointly host 2025 Passion & Fashion Busan (Busan International Footwear, Textile & Fashion Exhibition) and 2025 Busan Fashion Week.
The event will bring together the footwear, textile, and fashion industries under one roof as a comprehensive exhibition and a festival where industry and culture converge.
By doing so, the city aims to create a synergistic effect that fosters mutual growth while strengthening the international competitiveness of Busan’s fashion industry.

Celebrating its 33rd edition this year, Passion & Fashion Busan is the only convergence exhibition in Korea encompassing the footwear, textile, and fashion industries.
A total of 387 companies will participate, operating 388 booths under the theme “Wisdom of Sensitivity.”
The exhibition will showcase cutting-edge technologies and the latest trends, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Transformation (DX), and Eco-Friendly (ECO) innovation—all in one place.

The event will feature two main sections, the STYLE Zone and the TECH Zone, presenting new exhibition culture that integrates industry and culture through product displays, experience events, investment promotion (IR) programs, and corporate networking activities.

This year’s event will also feature a variety of side programs designed for the MZ generation and citizens to enjoy together, including Healthy Runners’ Health Day, Busan Workwear Show, and Busan Sports Goods Festa.
For the first time, the Unified Goods Promotion Exhibition of Busan Professional Sports Clubs will be held, featuring five local sports teams—Lotte Giants (baseball), BNK SUM (women’s basketball), KCC Egis (men’s basketball), Busan I-Park (soccer), and OK Savings Bank Altos (volleyball)—with merchandise displays and fan engagement events.
Under the slogan “Cheer in Style!”, the event will reinterpret sports cheering culture through fashion, creating a lively festival atmosphere where citizens can participate.

In addition, a Global Business Fair will be held with 250 domestic and international buyers, providing opportunities for networking and transactions between participating companies and buyers.
Through “BUSAN×MUSINSA Day” in collaboration with the fashion platform MUSINSA, the event will showcase collaboration models between Busan-based small-scale footwear manufacturers and major brands from the Seoul metropolitan area.

Fashion influencers, including Lee Sang-min, Busan’s honorary footwear industry ambassador, will participate to add excitement to the event.
During the same period, a special sales exhibition featuring participating brands’ products will be held at the Central Plaza of Shinsegae Department Store Centum City.

Meanwhile, Busan Fashion Week—which evolved from Pret-a-Porter Busan launched in 2001 and has now been integrated with ASEAN Fashion Week and University Fashion Week—will serve as a global fashion platform supporting the overseas expansion and global growth of promising Korean fashion brands.

The opening ceremony for 2025 Passion & Fashion Busan and Busan Fashion Week will take place on the morning of October 30, featuring a joint opening fashion show with domestic and international brands.
The event will continue until November 1 for three days at Exhibition Hall 2A of BEXCO, presenting global fashion shows with 16 Korean brands and 9 international brands from Indonesia, France, and others, as well as fashion shows by nine local universities.

International participants include Maison Jérôme Blin (France) and Lakon Indonesia, along with Ernesto Abram Hartono Gan from Indonesia’s Jakarta Fashion Festival (JF3).
Domestic brands include Mikyung Boutique, Lee Young-hee Present, Marz Studio, Di Perla, Boutique Girl, Bajuyo Aqua (Gyeongsang National University), Park Sang-jo, Rion Ve, Kang Jeong-seok, Sincerely Joon, Jwire Apparel, Project 13×13, Project Diartre, PPB, and Illoze—a total of 16 brands demonstrating the strength of Busan’s fashion industry.

At the Busan Fashion Competition & Busan Collection, which are held in conjunction with Passion & Fashion Busan, the brand MEON will also participate, showcasing creativity and talent.

The IR & Investment Matching Connect session will feature six designer brands with high growth potential, which will go through investment consultations and present IR proposals.
Nine universities—Kyungsung University, Pukyong National University, Tongmyong University, Dongseo University, Dong-A University, Dong-Eui University, Pusan National University, Silla University, and Youngsan University—will participate in the University Fashion Show.
