Busan Metropolitan City Mayor Park Heong-joon announced that the “2025 3rd Digital Transformation (DX) Forum” will take place at 4 p.m. on October 29 at the Busan Big Data Innovation Center (45 Centum-dong-ro, Haeundae-gu).

Marking its fourth year, the Digital Transformation (DX) Forum is co-hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Technopark. This year’s forums are being held four times under industry-focused themes, and this event will be the third in the series.

This forum, titled “Adding Coordinates to Data: Expanding Business through Spatial Information,” aims to share practical digital transformation cases combining spatial information and artificial intelligence (AI). The program consists of three sessions, each followed by open discussions and networking among participants.

• ●[Spatial Information-Based Energy Management Platform for Carbon Neutrality]
  Choi In-ho, Executive Director of SundoSoft Co., Ltd., will explain the core functions and operational procedures of a GIS (Geographic Information System)-based energy management platform that visualizes regional building energy consumption and analyzes and monitors carbon emissions, along with examples of its real-world applications.

• ●[Utilization Cases of Spatial Data Held by Local Governments]
  Kim Yi-ho, Big Data Division Officer of Busan Metropolitan City, will present on methods for analyzing population density and vehicle/pedestrian infrastructure through the Big Data Wave platform, using spatial information such as transportation networks (nodes and links) and telecommunication-based demographic data secured via private data purchase programs.

• ●[Generative AI-Based Satellite Data Innovation: SatCHAT]
  Jeong Yeong-sang, Team Leader at TelePIX Co., Ltd., will introduce SatCHAT, a generative AI-based satellite data platform, and discuss its technological implications and use cases involving raw materials, disaster response, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure management.

Through this forum, Busan Metropolitan City aims to share innovative cases in the fields of energy, environment, and urban management that utilize spatial information and AI, while promoting the private-sector use of spatial data owned by the public sector, strengthening data-driven decision-making systems, and accelerating the city’s transformation into a smart city.
