Busan Metropolitan City Distributes Opening Ceremony Tickets for the 45th National Para Games Starting Today

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that free admission tickets for the opening ceremony of the 45th National Para Games, which will take place in Busan starting October 31, will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning today (October 27).

Tickets are available regardless of one’s registered address and can be obtained at administrative welfare centers across Busan’s 16 districts and counties, with a maximum of two tickets per person. Only ticket holders will be allowed to enter and attend the event on the day of the ceremony.

The opening ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m. on October 31 at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium. As with the National Sports Festival, the event will be directed by Chief Director Park Kalin, who will once again showcase the dynamic spirit of Busan and its people through a powerful performance embodying the city’s determination to overcome turbulent seas.

Under the theme “Wave, Come!”, the ceremony will include a performance highlighting the athletes’ spirit of challenge and perseverance, the parade of athletes, the lighting of the torch, and celebratory performances.

The opening and closing ceremonies of the 106th National Sports Festival, which concluded with great success earlier this month, were also directed by Park Kalin. Her stage direction vividly portrayed Busan’s dynamic energy and the passionate unity of its citizens, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. Building on that success, the opening ceremony of the 45th National Para Games is expected to be not merely a sports event but a deeply moving artistic performance.

Celebratory performances will feature singer An Seong-hun, Koyote, and Lee Sun-hee, further elevating the festive mood at the venue.
An Seong-hun, known for his heartfelt emotional expression and warm tone, gained fame as the winner (Jin) of Mr. Trot. Koyote, the longest-running mixed-gender group in Korea, boasts numerous hit songs spanning generations. Lee Sun-hee, one of the most iconic vocalists in Korean popular music, will deliver a moving performance that completes the emotional journey of the opening ceremony.
