Busan Metropolitan City Launches “Season 2 of the Mega Prize Giveaway” — A Grand Hometown Love Donation Event from Fall to Year-End

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that from October 16 to December 31, it will host “Season 2 of the Mega Prize Giveaway! Busan Hometown Love Donation Year-end Big Event” (hereinafter referred to as “the event”) to encourage greater participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program.

The previous event, held in May under the same name, attracted enthusiastic participation from citizens and concluded successfully, thanks to its attractive prizes such as a stay at a five-star hotel in Haeundae. Building on that success, this second season returns with even more generous benefits and prizes for participants.

In particular, the event coincides with the 106th National Sports Festival, which will be held in Busan starting October 17. By linking the campaign to this major national event, Busan aims to offer citizens a variety of enjoyable opportunities and benefits throughout the fall and year-end season.
During both the National Sports Festival (October 17–23) and the National Para Games (October 31–November 5), the city will operate a promotional booth to introduce visitors to the purpose of the Hometown Love Donation Program and explain how to participate.

During the event period, donors who contribute at least KRW 100,000 to Busan will receive two basic benefits along with four special prizes.

[Basic Benefits (2)]

• ●Donations of up to KRW 100,000 per year are fully eligible for tax deductions.

• ●Donors receive thank-you gifts worth 30% of their donation amount.

[Special Prizes (4)]

• ●Up to 50 donors whose donation entry number is a multiple of 1,000 (e.g., 1,000, 2,000 … 50,000) will receive a voucher for a stay at a five-star hotel in Haeundae, valid during peak season.

• ●Up to 50 donors whose entry number is a multiple of 500 (e.g., 500, 1,500, 2,500 … 50,000) will receive a 1.2 kg premium Korean beef (Hanwoo) ribeye set.

• ●Up to 400 donors whose entry number is a multiple of 100 (e.g., 100, 200, 300 … 50,000) will receive a regional specialty gift worth KRW 30,000 (such as pork belly, salted tomatoes, fish cakes, nakgopsae, mackerel, coffee, bread, or snacks).

• ●Up to 4,500 donors whose entry number is a multiple of 10 (e.g., 10, 20, 30 … 50,000) will receive either a mobile coffee coupon or a KRW 10,000 Dongbaekjeon local currency voucher of their choice.
  (If a donor qualifies for multiple prizes, only the higher-value prize will be awarded. For example, donor number 1,000 will receive the prize corresponding to the 1,000th entry, not the 500th.)

Donors may choose from over 110 products offered by 48 local suppliers via the online portal Hometown Love eum.

[Special Prizes]
These four types of prizes will be awarded to up to 5,000 donors (up to the 50,000th donation entry). The winners will be announced on January 6, 2026, via the integrated notice section of the city’s website (busan.go.kr/nbnews) and through individual text messages.

Busan plans to reinvest all funds raised through the Hometown Love Donation Program into a variety of welfare initiatives within the region, including:
