Busan Women’s Cultural Center “2025 Student Art Exhibition and Performance Showcase” to Be Held

□ Busan Women’s Cultural Center announced that it will host the “2025 Student Art Exhibition and Performance Showcase” (hereinafter referred to as “the event”) for three days from October 21 to 23 at the Center.

○ This year’s event, under the theme “My Dream on Stage, Our Passion Through Culture,” aims to share with Busan citizens the achievements of students who have completed various cultural classroom programs at the Center.

○ The opening ceremony will take place on October 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the 3rd-floor small theater of the Center, where traditional and artistic performances will be presented in the presence of guests, students, and citizens.

□ First, works created by students from 16 different classes, including miniature hanbok, will be exhibited throughout the Center. In addition, performances from 12 classes, such as Korean dance and storytelling, will be held in the 3rd-floor small theater.

○ [Exhibitions] ▲ 10 classes including Korean paper crafts, practical crafts, and pet clothing and accessories (2nd-floor auditorium) ▲ 4 classes including French embroidery (1st-floor lobby) ▲ Flower arrangement and drawing (2nd-floor lobby) ▲ Korean painting (stairwell from 1st to 3rd floor) — a total of 16 classes whose works will be displayed and open to all visitors.

○ [Performances] ▲ On October 21 from 2:30 p.m., six classes will hold performances. ▲ On October 22, starting at 2:00 p.m., another six classes including the vocal music class will present their showcases.

□ In addition, there will be eight experience booths where visitors can try cultural classroom activities themselves, as well as various side events such as coffee and traditional liquor tasting, bakery and fusion rice cake sampling, and the Green Bazaar.

○ [Experience Booths] ▲ Traditional tea ceremony (Oct. 21, 14:00–16:00, 2nd-floor Traditional Hall) ▲ Dak paper craft (Oct. 21, 14:00–16:00, 2nd-floor lobby) ▲ Fabric art (Oct. 22, 10:00–12:00, 2nd-floor lobby) ▲ Pet clothing & accessories and natural soap making (Oct. 22, 10:00–12:00, 1st-floor meeting room) ▲ French embroidery (Oct. 23, 10:00–12:00, 2nd-floor lobby).

○ [Side Events] ▲ On the first day, coffee and traditional liquor tasting as well as bakery and fusion rice cake sampling will take place in the 1st- and 2nd-floor lobbies. ▲ From October 21 to 22, the Green Bazaar, a thrift market offering various foods and eco-friendly goods, will be held in the 1st-floor parking lot.

□ Meanwhile, Busan Women’s Cultural Center operates about 90 cultural classroom programs each quarter in areas such as traditional culture, languages, cuisine, arts, and modern living, while also running an art volunteer group that serves underprivileged cultural communities.

○ In addition, the Center contributes to regional cultural and social development and supports career-interrupted women’s employment through initiatives such as the operation of the Regional Women’s Re-employment Center for Gender Equality and customized programs for happy families.
