Busan Metropolitan City Mayor Park Heong-joon announced that the 2025 Busan Urban Regeneration Fair will be held for two days from October 16 (Thu.) to 17 (Fri.) at Dasom Plaza in Busan Citizens Park.

The Busan Urban Regeneration Fair, launched in 2017, marks its ninth edition this year.
With participation from the city’s 16 districts and counties, urban regeneration communities, and related organizations, the fair will be held under the theme “On:na Busan, a Livable and Happy City for Citizens.”
The event aims to promote Busan’s distinctive balanced development and to brand the city’s unique approach to urban regeneration.

The fair will feature a wide range of programs including official events, exhibitions, promotions, and citizen-participation activities.

[Official Events]
The opening ceremony, which begins at 14:00 on October 16, will include a special lecture offering professional insights into urban regeneration and a commendation ceremony honoring contributors to the advancement of urban regeneration.

[Exhibitions and Promotions]
At the Policy Promotion Hall, visitors can explore the history and direction of government policies from past to present, highlighting Busan’s achievements as a leading city in urban regeneration, including initiatives such as the Bokdo-ro Renaissance.
In addition, promotional spaces operated by local governments, professional institutions, related organizations, urban regeneration communities, and cooperatives will allow visitors to explore various project achievements while enjoying interactive exhibits.

[Programs]
The Urban Regeneration Best Practices Contest will recognize outstanding local cases, while seminars and youth talk concerts will be held to strengthen the sustainability of urban regeneration projects.

[Citizen Participation]
A variety of programs will help citizens engage more closely with Busan’s urban regeneration initiatives.
These include the “On:na Busan Game” inspired by Squid Game, sand art experiences, urban regeneration-themed tarot card readings, village film screenings, and busking performances.
Other activities include the “Pick Up and Treasure Hunt (Jupgging GO, Treasure Hunt GO)” event, and the Urban Regeneration Stamp Tour, where visitors can collect stamps while exploring the fairgrounds.
