Practicing Warm Sharing: Free Meal Sharing Event to Be Held

Busan Metropolitan City announced that the “Love Meal Sharing” event will be held tomorrow (October 11) at 10:00 a.m. at the Green Plaza of Busan City Hall.

The event, organized by the Busan Bap-Peo Sharing Community (Representative: Kim Jeong-gon), takes place every second and fourth Saturday of the month and provides free meals to vulnerable groups, including seniors and others facing food insecurity.

Approximately 700 people, including volunteers and senior citizens, are expected to participate in the event.

Mayor Park will attend the event to take part in serving meals and to encourage the volunteers. During the event, he will express his appreciation to the organizers and volunteers for their dedication, join in the serving of meals, and communicate directly with senior citizens. Through this, he intends to reaffirm the city’s ongoing commitment to supporting community welfare initiatives.

Meanwhile, the Busan Bap-Peo Sharing Community continues to carry out meaningful community activities, not only through its free meal service but also by operating a communal vegetable garden in Sinhodo, Gangseo-gu, to self-supply ingredients for the meals.

In his remarks, Mayor Park will say, “A warm meal provides great strength for one’s day,” adding, “Busan Metropolitan City will continue to honor and respect the volunteers and strive to make Busan a warm and caring community.”
