Busan Metropolitan City Hosts Youth Lectures with Distinguished Figures, Including Professor Yoon Dae-hyun

Busan Metropolitan City Mayor Park Heong-joon announced that the city will host a special relay lecture series in October to support and communicate with young citizens.

This series invites distinguished speakers from various fields to engage directly with young people on topics most relevant to them, such as mental health recovery and motivation.

The first lecture, Motivation, will take place on October 17 at 2 p.m. at the Busan City Hotel Convention Hall.
The speaker, Drawanddrew, a popular YouTuber and broadcaster with over 700,000 subscribers, is also the author of bestsellers such as Lucky Draw and Freeway. Under the theme You Can Do It, Cheer Up, Youth!, he will offer realistic yet warm advice and share his personal experiences to inspire young attendees.
A Q&A session will follow, allowing participants to ask questions directly and receive practical mentoring.

The second lecture, Healing the Mind, will be held on October 30 at 4 p.m. at the Culture Hall on the 10th floor of Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch.
Professor Yoon Dae-hyun, from the Department of Psychiatry at Seoul National University Hospital Gangnam Center, will deliver a healing lecture based on his extensive clinical experience and public speaking background, helping young people alleviate depression and stress and recover emotionally.
As a familiar figure through media appearances such as You Quiz on the Block, Professor Yoon will foster an empathetic and approachable atmosphere.
The event will be conducted in a talk-show format that blends cultural performances with participants’ personal stories, offering a warm and healing experience.

This special lecture series will take place in a relay format, allowing participants to choose the sessions that interest them most.

Meanwhile, Busan Metropolitan City is operating several programs to support youth employment and emotional recovery.
The Didimdol Card Plus (+) project provides up to six months of monthly support (300,000 KRW per month) to assist unemployed youth with job preparation and start-up activities.
In addition, the Maeum Ieum (Connecting Minds) project offers psychological counseling and healing programs to help young people who are struggling with job-seeking challenges and social isolation recover emotionally and reconnect socially.
