Busan Modern & Contemporary History Museum to Host “Quiz King: Chuseok Edition” for the Holiday

The Busan Modern & Contemporary History Museum announced that it will host a citizen participation program, “2025 Busan Modern & Contemporary History Museum Quiz King: Chuseok Edition,” from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on October 6 in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.

This interactive program invites visitors to tour the museum’s main and annex buildings and exhibitions while solving quizzes on Busan’s modern and contemporary history. Any museum visitor can participate.

The quiz consists of six categories reflecting the flow of Busan’s modern and contemporary history and the unique characteristics of its spaces.

• ●The “Permanent Exhibition” category offers an overview of Busan’s history, from the port opening and modern era, through the Japanese occupation and independence movement, to the wartime capital era, industrialization, and democratization.

• ●The “Main and Annex Exploration” category allows participants to experience firsthand the historical significance of the buildings and spaces.

• ●The “Culture and Figures” category looks back on the lives and achievements of influential individuals who left a significant mark on Busan’s modern and contemporary history.

Participation is free of charge. Those who answer all quiz questions correctly will receive a souvenir, provided to the first 500 participants by the Bank of Korea.

To join, visitors may collect an activity sheet at the Citizen Convenience Facility on the first floor of the main building, explore both the main and annex buildings to find the answers, and return to the same location for answer verification. Among those who complete the quiz correctly, the first 500 participants will receive souvenirs provided by the Bank of Korea Busan Branch.

In addition, the museum will offer special Chuseok souvenirs to participants through events such as adding the museum as a KakaoTalk friend and subscribing to its YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, the Busan Modern & Contemporary History Museum will remain open during the Chuseok holiday and will close only on October 10, following the holiday.
