Busan Metropolitan City to Hold Discount Event on Agricultural and Livestock Products at Traditional Markets for Chuseok Starting Tomorrow

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that, in order to ease the burden of rising prices during the Chuseok holiday season, it will hold a discount event for agricultural and livestock products at traditional markets for five days, from October 1 to October 5.

A total of 18 traditional markets in 11 districts, including Busanjin-gu and Buk-gu, will participate in this event. Shoppers who purchase domestic agricultural and livestock products at these markets will receive up to 30 percent of their purchase amount back in Onnuri Gift Certificates.

The 18 participating traditional markets are Bosu General Market, Chungmu-dong Early Morning Market (Chungmu-dong Coastal Market), Bongrae Market, Namhang Market, Bujeon Market Town, Dongnae Market (Suan Injeong Market), Gupon Market of Affection, Gupo Livestock Wholesale Market, Jwadong Traditional Market, Bansong Grand Market, Banyeo Agricultural Wholesale Market Shopping Arcade, Sinpyeong Alley Market, Hadan Oil Permanent Market, Jangnim Alley Market, Goejeong Alley Market, Seodong Traditional Alley Market (Seodong Hyangto Market), Yeondong Market (Yeondong Alley Market), and Suyeong Paldo Market.

Customers who spend 67,000 KRW or more on agricultural and livestock products at these markets will receive 20,000 KRW in Onnuri Gift Certificates, and those who spend between 34,000 KRW and 67,000 KRW will receive 10,000 KRW. Each person can receive a maximum refund of 20,000 KRW during the event period.

To receive the refund, customers must bring receipts of their same-day purchases of domestic agricultural and livestock products to the designated booth at the market and apply. Applicants must present an ID card or mobile phone for identity verification. However, purchases made with ZeroPay (mobile) gift certificates, at general restaurants, or of imported agricultural and livestock products are excluded from eligibility.
