Job Information, Special Lectures, and Performances: Colorful Busan 50+ Job Fair to Be Held

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it will hold the “2025 Busan 50+ Job Fair” on October 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Dasom Hall area of Busan Citizens Park to support the second act of life for the middle-aged generation (ages 50 to 64).

The event is hosted by Busan Metropolitan City, organized by the Busan Senior Employment Support Center and the Busan Veterans Support Center of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, and sponsored by BNK Busan Bank.

The fair, held under the slogan “Once More, A Time to Flourish Myself,” aims to spread a positive atmosphere for social participation among the middle-aged generation, provide customized job information, and support employment connections.

This year in particular, a “Digital Learning Zone” will be prepared, including an AI interview experience booth and a kiosk app practice booth, to strengthen digital job-readiness skills in line with current trends.

The fair will be divided into three main programs: the opening event, exhibitions, and side events.

During the opening event, the fair will kick off with a musical performance, an opening ceremony performance (Magic Tree), a celebratory performance and magic show, a commendation ceremony for meritorious persons, and an award ceremony for outstanding companies.

The exhibition program will feature booths that provide job information to the middle-aged generation and support employment connections through on-site interviews. These include on-site interviews, the Digital Learning Zone, recruitment for corporate taxi drivers, career redesign and employment counseling for the middle-aged, experiential programs from the 50+ Career Redesign University (12 universities), résumé writing, and services for ID photos and makeup.

In particular, at the “Corporate Taxi Driver Recruitment Zone,” taxi companies will conduct one-on-one recruitment consultations. In addition, Busan Metropolitan City and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority will run recruitment programs such as aptitude tests and qualification exams for drivers, while promoting transportation-related policies.

At the “50+ Career Redesign University” booths, participants will experience a variety of programs offered by 12 universities in Busan, including AI education, drone piloting, health management (corrective exercises, wellness care), storytelling, CPR, and hands-on activities (leathercraft, hand-drip coffee extraction, and traditional liquor brewing).

Side events will include legal and labor consultations, special employment lectures, a Human Library talk concert, performances by art clubs, and a senior model fashion show expressing the spirit of challenge of the middle-aged generation.

About 50 students from the “Busan Metropolitan City 50+ Career Redesign University” operated by Busan Institute of Science and Technology will participate in the “Senior Model Fashion Show.”

Also, the “Human Library Talk Concert,” in which people become books to pass on their experiences and expertise to younger generations, and a traditional Korean music performance by “Narae Sori,” an art club voluntarily organized by the middle-aged generation, will be held.
