Busan Metropolitan City Selects Five Outstanding Youth Employment Companies for 2025! On-site Hiring Also Conducted through a Job Fair

Busan Metropolitan City Mayor Park Heong-joon and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency announced today (September 24) that five companies, which have made various efforts to provide quality jobs and improve youth employment, were selected as the “2025 Outstanding Youth Employment Companies.” Mayor Park will personally award the certificates.

The award ceremony will be held today at 17:00 at the City Hall International Protocol Room. Last year, Busan became the first city nationwide to establish a legal basis for supporting Outstanding Youth Employment Companies and selected three “Cheong-kkeul” companies (companies attractive to youth that contribute to youth job creation). This year, the number has expanded to five companies.

Through a public call in July, 30 companies participated, and after a three-stage review process (document screening, on-site evaluation, and interviews), the final five companies—BNK System Co., Ltd., KTE Co., Ltd., Daewoopharm Co., Ltd., Halla IMS Co., Ltd., and Jeil Electric Co., Ltd.—were selected.

• ●BNK System Co., Ltd., established in 2011 in Gangseo-gu, is a digital finance IT company with a youth employment ratio of 90%. It received high marks for its solid welfare system, including tuition support, overseas training, family health check-ups, and systematic talent development.

• ●KTE Co., Ltd., founded in 1979 in Gangseo-gu, specializes in ship electrical control systems. The company earned recognition for deploying Integrated Power Management Systems (IPMS), advancing eco-friendly ship control battery cleaning businesses, and offering housing subsidies for young employees.

• ●Daewoopharm Co., Ltd., established in 1976 in Saha-gu, is an ophthalmology-focused pharmaceutical company. It possesses Korea’s largest eye drop production facilities and contract manufacturing/export capacity (CMO). With systems such as family care leave, the company was praised for its youth-friendly corporate culture.

• ●Halla IMS Co., Ltd., founded in 1989 in Gangseo-gu, is a leading manufacturer of ship equipment and automation systems. It has driven eco-friendly ship technology and low-carbon green growth. With dormitories, workplace childcare centers, and extensive welfare programs, it was highly rated for its excellent working environment.

• ●Jeil Electric Co., Ltd., established in 1955 in Saha-gu, is a smart distribution equipment company. With over 200 national standards certifications (KS) and more than 70 North American safety and quality certifications (UL/CSA), the company received recognition for global collaboration and innovation as drivers of future growth.

The selected companies will receive certificates, plaques, a “Good Workplace Support Fund” of 10 million KRW, exemption from acquisition tax on newly acquired business properties, and deferment of local tax audits, among other highly practical benefits and incentives.

Busan introduced these incentives last year by revising municipal ordinances, becoming the first in the country to legally allow such local tax reductions. The validity period for the tax benefits is three years from the certification date.

Meanwhile, following the award ceremony, Busan will hold the “2025 Cheong-kkeul (Youth-Attracting) Company Job Matching Job Fair” on September 25 from 13:30 at BEXCO Convention Hall (2nd and 3rd floors).

This first-ever job fair will feature 50 Cheong-kkeul companies and 500 young job seekers, with around 200 on-site recruitments expected.

The fair will include a Youth-Attracting Company Recruitment Booth, company presentations, on-site interviews, a Youth Policy Promotion Booth, a University Joint Support Booth, customized job lectures, and other side events. These programs aim to provide young people with practical hiring opportunities and tailored job assistance.

Specialized job lectures will include sessions on personal branding, AI-based resume writing, interview strategies, and competency development. Additionally, diverse experiential side programs—such as personal color diagnosis, makeup consulting, job tarot, and photo booths—will be provided to attract and engage young participants.
