Busan Metropolitan City Holds a Meeting with Accommodation and Food Industry Representatives for the 2025 National Para Games – Strengthening Hospitality and Hygiene

Busan Metropolitan City Mayor Park Heong-joon announced that at 11:00 a.m. today (September 24), a meeting with representatives of the accommodation and food sectors for the “2025 National Para Games” would be held in the Sports Bureau Director’s Office at City Hall.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the City’s Sports Bureau, the Chair of the Busan Branch of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association, the Chair of the Busan Branch of the Korea Rest Area Food Association, the Chair of the Busan Branch of the Korea Hotel Association, the Head of the Haeundae-gu Branch, and other representatives from the accommodation and food sectors, as well as city officials.

This meeting was arranged to share preparations related to the 2025 National Para Games and to request that the accommodation and food industries strengthen hospitality services and hygiene management during the event period. The agenda proceeded in the following order: sharing of preparation updates, listening to suggestions, and providing responses.

Through this meeting, Busan Metropolitan City expects that the hospitality and thorough hygiene management provided by the accommodation and food industries will serve as the cornerstone of the successful hosting of the 2025 National Para Games.

Son Tae-uk, Director of the Sports Bureau, remarked, “In order for athletes to fully demonstrate the skills they have honed over the past year, the active cooperation of the accommodation and food industries is essential. We will make continuous efforts to ensure that food and lodging are safely and hygienically managed throughout the Games. We hope that all athletes and spectators will have the opportunity to fully savor and enjoy Busan during the event.”
