Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that on the afternoon of the 19th at 2:00 p.m., it will host the special anti-corruption and integrity lecture “Integrity LIVE” at the City Hall Grand Auditorium for all employees.

More than 800 public officials, including Mayor Park Heong-joon, employees of the city government, district and county offices, public corporations, and affiliated organizations, will attend to reflect on the meaning of integrity and enhance their awareness of integrity as public officials.

Unlike traditional lecture-style training, this program is a customized institutional program operated by the Integrity Training Institute of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, designed to combine cultural performances with lectures to deliver the value of integrity in an accessible and vivid way.

Through a case-based special lecture by integrity expert Jang Tae-joon, employees will gain a clearer understanding of integrity-related laws such as the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, and the Code of Conduct for Public Officials. This is expected to serve as an opportunity to strengthen their competence in integrity as public officials.

Additionally, Integrity Pansori and inspirational integrity-themed videos will be presented to help employees naturally understand the meaning of integrity.

The city expects this training to enable all employees to internalize the value of integrity and to serve as a stepping stone toward spreading a culture of public service that citizens can trust.

Mayor Park Heong-joon is scheduled to state, “I believe that the awareness and actions of public officials regarding integrity are, above all, a matter of pride for us public officials, an inner ethical standard we must uphold, and a key factor that determines the dignity of the civil service organization,” adding, “I hope that the integrity of public officials will lead to a society where the happiness of citizens can flourish.”
