Supporting Local Architecture Talent, “Busan Architecture Job Fair” to be Held for Two Days Starting Tomorrow (September 17)

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it will host the “2025 Busan Architecture Job Fair” (hereinafter “the Fair”) for two days, from September 17 to 18, 2025, at Exhibition Hall 1 of BEXCO.

Last year, the “Busan Architecture Job Fair,” which drew attention as the nation’s first attempt of its kind, returns this year in a more advanced form.

The Fair is a specialized job fair in the architectural sector, designed to provide customized recruitment opportunities for companies and specialized employment opportunities for job seekers, thereby laying the foundation for the continuous growth of local architectural talent.

The event is hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and organized by the Busan Chapter of the Korean Institute of Architects.

Overview of the 2025 Busan Architecture Job Fair

• ●Date: September 17 (Wednesday) – September 18 (Thursday), 2025 (two days), 10:00–17:00

• ●Venue: Exhibition Hall 1A–2A, BEXCO (held concurrently with the 2025 Busan International Architecture Festival, September 17–21)

• ●Main Programs: One-on-one mock interviews, promotional and recruitment consultation booths, talk concerts, side events, and participatory activities

• ●Participants: University students majoring in architecture in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, as well as any unemployed youth

• ●Hosted by: Busan Metropolitan City

• ●Organized by: Korean Institute of Architects (Busan Chapter)

This year, more than 20 organizations—including public institutions, large corporations, and local mid-sized and small enterprises in the architecture field—will participate in the Fair, providing young job seekers with practical employment information and experience.

• ●Public Sector: Korea Infrastructure Safety & Technology Corporation, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Busan Metropolitan Corporation, Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (Busan–Ulsan Regional Headquarters).

• ●Private Sector: Architectural firms such as Encore Architects, Kumho Construction Co., Ltd., Kyungdong Construction Co., Ltd., Daesungmun Co., Ltd., Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., Daeyoung Fire Engineering Co., Ltd., Daejung Construction Co., Ltd., Dongwon Development Co., Ltd., Lotte Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., Busan Architecture Comprehensive Architects, Sangji Engineering Architects, Shindosi Engineering Comprehensive Architects, INJ Architects, ABM Co., Ltd., Joongang Engineering, and Hanmi Comprehensive Architects.

• ●Supporting Organizations: Rectorus Co., Ltd., Hwamyeong Ilsin Christian Hospital, and Jun Myung-poom Photo Studio, contributing through talent donations to support young job seekers.

Programs and Events

The Fair will feature diverse programs such as one-on-one mock interviews, promotional and recruitment consultations, the “Ask Your Seniors” talk concert, and participatory events, allowing participants to gain both practical experience and useful information.

• ●One-on-one mock interviews will simulate actual corporate recruitment interviews, providing participants with personalized evaluations and feedback.

• ●At the promotional and recruitment consultation booths, job seekers can directly communicate with current employees, sharing employment concerns and gaining valuable firsthand insights.

• ●The “Ask Your Seniors” talk concert will take place on September 18 at 4:30 p.m. in the lecture hall, offering young job seekers the opportunity to freely ask questions to professionals with less than five years of field experience.

• ●Additional experiential programs include free ID photo sessions, health consultations, architecture software (S/W) education counseling, construction safety VR experiences, personalized color analysis, and career tarot consultations.

Special Connection with Busan International Architecture Festival

The Fair will be held at the same venue as the “2025 Busan International Architecture Festival,” providing participants with the unique opportunity to engage with both job opportunities and architectural culture in one place. The Festival will run from September 17 to 21, 2025, featuring exhibitions under the theme “Busan Style Culture Meets Architecture” and special lectures by renowned domestic and international architects.

Anyone interested in architectural employment is welcome to join the Fair onsite free of charge. Participation applications and pre-registration for one-on-one mock interviews are available via the Fair’s official website (www.bsarchjob.com), and onsite registration will also be available for those unable to register in advance.
