Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that the "2025-26 Season Kickoff Ceremony" of the OK Savings Bank Okman Volleyball Club (owned by Choi Yoon) will be held on September 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gangseo Sports Park Gymnasium.

This event marks the first official introduction of the OK Savings Bank Okman Volleyball Club to the citizens of Busan since signing a home-city agreement with the city in July. Mayor Park Heong-joon, Club Owner Choi Yoon, players, volleyball fans, and citizens are expected to attend.

The kickoff ceremony will consist of three parts, featuring a wide range of programs designed for citizens to enjoy together, with free admission and no prior registration required.

In the first part, a pre-event match by the OK Savings Bank Okman Volleyball Club will be held ahead of the new season, offering fans a unique experience. The opposing team will be announced later.

The second part will be the official kickoff ceremony, featuring congratulatory remarks by Mayor Park Heong-joon, a welcoming speech from Club Owner Choi Yoon, the unveiling of new uniforms, and the players’ pledges for the season.

The third part will include fan participation events such as prize drawings and a quiz show with the club mascot "Okman" and players, providing opportunities for fans and players to interact closely.

The city expects that the team’s relocation will contribute to the development of professional sports in Busan and revitalize volleyball as a sport, while also pledging continued support for the club’s successful settlement.

Through the establishment of this volleyball team, Busan aims to further solidify its status as a leading sports city, expand the base of professional sports, provide greater opportunities for citizens to enjoy sports, and stimulate the economy of western Busan.

In addition, Busan plans to improve the facilities at Gangseo Sports Park Gymnasium to support the players’ performance and to foster young volleyball talents, thereby promoting balanced development between elite and recreational sports.

Meanwhile, the 2025-26 V-League will open on October 18, and the home opener for the OK Savings Bank Okman Volleyball Club will take place at 2:00 p.m. on November 9 at Gangseo Sports Park Gymnasium against Korean Air.

Tickets can be purchased through the official website of the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO), and further details will be announced later.
