Busan Women’s Cultural Center to Host “The 26th Regular Concert of the Mirusaem Choir”

Busan Metropolitan City’s Women’s Cultural Center announced that it will hold “The 26th Regular Concert of the Mirusaem Choir” (hereinafter referred to as the concert) on September 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Busan Cultural Center Grand Theater.

Now in its 26th year, the concert has been a regular annual stage organized by the Women’s Cultural Center’s Mirusaem Choir (hereinafter referred to as the choir) for citizens and culturally underserved communities. It has established itself as a venue for sharing talents through song and for musical exchange.

This year’s performance aims to present citizens with an experience of unity through music, offering comfort and vitality to those weary from daily life.

With the theme “Melodies of the World, One Resonance,” the concert will present choral works embodying diverse cultures and emotions across two parts, complemented by special stages of vocal and ensemble performances to deliver a rich musical resonance.

In the first part, the Mirusaem Choir will perform six pieces including “Snow is Falling,” “The Linden Tree,” and “Ah, Shepherd Boy!” Additionally, guest performers soprano Lee Jin-young and tenor Han Jung-hyun will present two pieces, “Song to the Moon” and “The White Crane,” filling the autumn evening with beautiful harmony.

The second part will feature five pieces, including “Short Hair,” “Song of the Wind,” and “The One Who Brings Happiness.” Ensemble “Chams” will also perform “Yo Soy Maria” and “The Late Package,” offering audiences a distinctive stage experience.

Any interested citizen may attend the concert free of charge. Admission is available without prior reservation, starting at 7:00 p.m., 30 minutes before the concert begins.

Founded in 1994 based on the Women’s Cultural Center’s lecture program, the Mirusaem Choir has performed annually in its regular concerts and participated in various stages such as the Busan Choral Festival, showcasing its musical competence. The choir has also consistently engaged in cultural volunteer activities, including performances at welfare facilities.
