Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it will host the “2025 Busan Local Festival Development Donation Ceremony” together with BNK Busan Bank and the Busan Festival Organizing Committee (hereinafter “the Organizing Committee”) today (September 5) at 4:40 p.m. in the City Hall Protocol Room.

The ceremony will be attended by Mayor Park Heong-joon, BNK Busan Bank President Bang Sung-bin, and Organizing Committee Executive Chairman Nam Deok-hyeon.

At the ceremony, BNK Busan Bank will deliver KRW 370 million. The donation will be used for the development of festivals hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and organized by the Organizing Committee, including the Busan Fireworks Festival and the Busan International Rock Festival.

The Organizing Committee plans to support BNK Busan Bank’s promotions, pursue joint marketing, and engage in other cooperative festival-related projects.

BNK Busan Bank, as a hometown financial institution symbolizing Busan, has signed annual sponsorship contracts and continued its support to ensure the successful hosting and growth of festivals organized by the Organizing Committee.

Meanwhile, Busan Metropolitan City successfully held local festivals this year, including the Busan Sea Festival, which received favorable responses from citizens, and is accelerating preparations for the successful hosting of large-scale festivals in the second half of the year such as the Busan International Rock Festival and the Busan Fireworks Festival.

Founded in 1997, the Organizing Committee has devoted itself to attracting domestic and international tourists by successfully hosting representative festivals that highlight Busan’s unique character, such as the Busan Mill Festival, Taekssulang, Busan Sea Festival, Busan International Rock Festival, and Busan Fireworks Festival.

Mayor Park Heong-joon expressed his gratitude, stating, “The support and interest of BNK Busan Bank, Busan’s hometown financial company, are greatly contributing to the revitalization of local tourism.” He further emphasized, “By fully leveraging Busan’s strengths—its developed culinary culture, port, and sea—we will ensure the successful hosting of the city’s flagship festivals in the second half of the year and reaffirm Busan’s status as a festival city to the world.”
