Busan Metropolitan City to Host the “Media Members Sports Day” to Boost Enthusiasm for the National (Para) Games!

Busan Metropolitan City announced that it will hold the “2025 Busan Media Members Sports Day” at 10:00 AM on September 6 at the Busan Foreign Language High School gymnasium.

The event has been organized to pray for the successful hosting of the 106th National Sports Festival and the 45th National Para Games, both scheduled for October in Busan, and to raise citizens’ interest in Busan as a city of community sports under the theme “Busan is Sports (多).”

About 100 Media Members, along with their families and acquaintances, will participate. The event will go beyond simple fellowship to provide an opportunity to experience the excitement of the National Sports Festival in advance and to promote a culture of participation in community sports.

The main program includes ▲team-based sports activities ▲a flash mob performance to Busan’s theme song ▲a cheering performance for the successful hosting of the National (Para) Games.

The team-based activities will feature volleyball-inspired games and other events that contribute to the promotion of community sports, allowing participants to naturally experience the value of sports while having fun together.

A flash mob performance will be staged to the Busan theme song “Let’s Go to Our Busan,” with Media Members, their families, and acquaintances all joining. The performance will be recorded, produced into a video, and shared on social media, becoming a promotional piece that conveys the passion and pride of Busan citizens nationwide.

The cheering performance for the successful hosting of the National (Para) Games will feature Busan’s “Groundy” Dance Academy, which produced contestants for Mnet’s dance competition program “Street Dance Girls Fighter 2.” Academy students will perform a “mega crew” stage that is expected to further build excitement for the upcoming National Sports Festival and National Para Games.

In particular, Busan’s official citizen reporters, the “Media Members,” will not only participate in games and performances but also document the event on-site with a professional filming team. The content and testimonials they create will be shared online and used in future policy promotion efforts.
