Busan Metropolitan City Holds the “Job Salon: Career Talk Between Youth and Professionals” at the Busan Mid-Sized Enterprise Job Fair

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it will hold the “2025 Busan Mid-Sized Enterprise Job Fair: Job Salon – Career Talk Between Youth and Professionals” today (September 4) from 1:30 p.m. at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 2, Rooms 121–124.

The event is designed to help young people enhance their understanding of job functions through counseling (mentoring) with professionals working in mid-sized companies and to provide practical employment information.

Hosted by the City and organized by the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, the fair features the participation of 10 mid-sized companies and 11 local universities. More than 200 youth from the Busan area registered in advance between August 20 and September 3, showing strong interest, and on-site registration is also available on the day of the event.

Event Programs and Details

The “Job Salon: Career Talk Between Youth and Professionals” consists of ▲Job Salon ▲Special Lecture Salon ▲Talk Salon ▲job counseling. A total of 22 professionals representing 11 job fields from 10 leading mid-sized companies in Busan, including Kangnam Corporation, DongHwa Entec, SB Sunbo Co., Ltd., and Oriental Precision & Engineering, will provide mentoring and counseling.

[Job Salon] Youth will meet directly with company professionals to learn about key tasks, required competencies, and career paths, sharing field experiences to enhance understanding of jobs and provide practical guidance for career choices and employment.

Job fields include human resources & general affairs, finance & accounting, business planning, production & quality management, procurement & cost management, technical sales, technical inspection, research & development, production management, design, and new technology R&D.

[Special Lecture Salon] A lecture under the theme “The Hiring Code in the Era of Rolling Recruitment” will cover the latest hiring trends and strategies. Job seekers will learn how to adapt their job-seeking strategies to changes in hiring practices and acquire practical approaches for each stage of the process.

[Talk Salon] Professionals will share their own hiring experiences and insights from performing job duties, while answering questions directly from youth. This helps participants better understand required competencies for different job roles and corporate culture.

Participating companies: SB Sunbo Co., Ltd., Halla IMS Co., Ltd., TK Corporation, KTE Co., Ltd.

[Job Counseling] Tailored counseling and recruitment guidance will be provided at corporate booths according to each company’s second-half recruitment plan (10 companies, 46 positions), giving participants access to concrete hiring information.

In addition, the City and universities will operate promotion booths to provide policy information and employment support services in one place.
