Citizen Participation Group "Siboya (野) Busan" Completes 15-Minute City Field Experience

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that the citizen participation group “Siboya (野) Busan,” organized to complete the 15-Minute City policy together with citizens, successfully concluded its month-long field experiences across four districts in August.

Overview of “Siboya (野) Busan”

• ●Purpose: To complete the 15-Minute City together with citizens through field experiences and opinion gathering

• ●Activity Period: July 23 – November 30, 2025

• ●Composition: 240 Busan citizens (15 members from each of the 16 Gu·Gun)

• ●Main Activities: Experiencing 15-Minute City field programs, proposing 15-Minute City policy programs, video challenges, etc.

During this field experience, 124 volunteers from the citizen participation group took part, with about 30 members per district visiting West Busan, the old downtown, East Busan, and Central Busan. They explored cultural, leisure, and public infrastructure within the 15-minute living sphere.

• ●On August 13, the West Busan group visited the Eulsukdo Cultural Center, Deullak Nallak, and Haha Center in Gwaebeop-dong, Sasang-gu.

• ●On August 20, the old downtown group toured the Busan Museum of Movies and the “Our Neighborhood ESG Value Management Center” in Yeongdo.

• ●On August 21, the East Busan group visited Domoheon, the Andersen Storytelling Center, and Deullak Nallak.

• ●On August 28, the Central Busan group visited the Yeonje Cartoon Library, the linear park in Dangam-dong, and the Busan Concert Hall.

Participants shared their impressions and the outcomes of their activities through personal social media, thereby spreading the philosophy and values of the 15-Minute City with citizens.

One participant who experienced the “Our Neighborhood ESG Value Management Center” said, “By engaging closely with social value management activities that enhance local values, I realized why sustainable cities are so important and began to think more about the environment and community in daily life.”

Another participant who visited the Busan Concert Hall commented, “Being able to enjoy a world-class performance venue near my home gives me pride as a Busan citizen. The 15-Minute City seems like a model city that ensures a balanced life.”

Based on these field experiences, the citizen participation group will propose policy programs necessary to complete the 15-Minute City Busan by October. Busan Metropolitan City plans to incorporate outstanding proposals into actual projects and actively operate them as key “15-Minute City” programs across the city.
