2025 Busan Sale Festa Pusan National University Commercial District Reboot Project – “Toward PNU!”

Busan Metropolitan City Mayor Park Heong-joon announced that the “2025 Busan Sale Festa: Pusan National University Commercial District Reboot Project – Toward PNU!” will be held over three days from September 4 to 6 in the car-free zone in front of Exit 1 of Pusan National University Station.

The city explained that this festival has been prepared as a cooperative consumer event where small business owners and Pusan National University students join together to revitalize the commercial district, which is at the center of youth culture in Busan but has been struggling under the economic downturn. The city expects this festival to serve as a steppingstone for the recovery of the PNU commercial district.

This event, in which Pusan National University students will also participate, will be held under a retro concept designed to evoke the memories and romance of the university’s commercial district.

Under the theme “Back to the Clock Tower Plaza,” an outdoor beer plaza and food zone will be set up. At the “Intergenerational Concert Burak (樂),” visitors can enjoy a variety of performances, including shows by PNU student bands, dance competitions, and local performance teams.

At the “Night Market Fashion Flea Market,” visitors can experience programs such as personal color consultations and instant photo shoots, recreating the atmosphere of the lively university street of the past.

In particular, the beer booths run by three PNU colleges will provide a chance to enjoy unique brews. A “memory pojangmacha (outdoor food stall)” will also be set up in front of the university, offering an exciting event that captures the youthful energy of PNU.

In addition, a variety of benefits have been prepared for visitors, including cooperative discount coupons of up to 50% off, 5,000 won discount coupon giveaways, and roulette prize events.

Following the PNU Commercial District Sale Festa, in October, another Busan Sale Festa is scheduled to take place in Busanjin-gu’s Jeonpo Gonggu Street and Gijang-gun’s Dolphin Fountain Square, providing citizens with fresh and enjoyable attractions while supporting local consumption and economic recovery.
