Busan Women’s Cultural Center to Recruit Students for the 4th Term Education Program in 2025

Busan Metropolitan City Women’s Cultural Center announced that it will begin recruiting students for the “4th Term Education Program in 2025” on September 3.

This education program, which aims to support citizens’ participation in economic activities such as employment and entrepreneurship, and to enhance the skills of workers, will run for about three months from September 29 to December 31.

Recruitment will be open for about 1,600 students in 85 courses across 9 fields, including crafts, beauty, cooking, coffee, baking, sewing, foreign languages, computers, and senior education aids. Course dates may be adjusted according to each subject’s circumstances.

In particular, the program will feature license courses useful for employment and entrepreneurship, practical life and cultural courses, as well as evening and weekend courses for working citizens.

The license courses include Korean/Chinese Cuisine Cook Certification, Makeup/Nail/General Hairdressing Certification, Information Technology Qualification (ITQ Excel, ITQ PowerPoint), Basic TOEIC, and Floral Decoration Technician Certification.

Evening courses will include Coffee Barista Level 2 and foreign languages (English, Japanese, Chinese), while weekend courses will offer Family Home Baking, Clothing Making, and Hand Lettering (Calligraphy).

Any citizen aged 18 or older interested in these courses may apply. Applications are divided into priority, general, and additional rounds, and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Women’s Cultural Center website (woman.busan.go.kr).

[Priority Recruitment] This round is for socially disadvantaged groups such as basic livelihood security recipients and multi-child families (two or more children). It will take place from 9 a.m. on September 3 until 6 p.m. on September 5.

[General Recruitment]

First Round: From 9 a.m. on September 10 until 6 p.m. on September 16. Those who have attended the same course for four consecutive terms will not be eligible to register for that course in this term.

Second Round: From 9 a.m. on September 17 until 6 p.m. on September 26. If, as of 6 p.m. on September 26, the number of applicants is less than 60 percent of the course’s enrollment capacity, the course will be canceled.

[Additional Recruitment] This round will run after the program begins, from 9 a.m. on September 29 until 6 p.m. on October 19.
