Busan Metropolitan City Autonomous Police Commission Visits “Haeundae Summer Police Station” and Conducts On-site Public Safety Inspection

The Busan Metropolitan City Autonomous Police Commission (Chairperson: Kim Cheol-jun, hereinafter referred to as the Commission) and the Busan Autonomous Police Policy Advisory Group (Head: Moon Ho, hereinafter referred to as the Advisory Group) announced today (25th) that they would visit the “Haeundae Summer Police Station” at 5:00 p.m.

This visit follows the inspection of the “Gwangalli Summer Police Station” on July 7 and is intended to directly assess public safety measures at summer vacation spots. During the event, commendations and appreciation plaques will be presented to on-site police officers, members of community patrols, and dog patrol team members who have contributed to the operations of the autonomous police, offering them encouragement.

After visiting the “Summer Police Station,” the Commission will move to the Haeundae Beach Event Square to carry out a joint basic order campaign in cooperation with the Haeundae Police Station, the Mobile Patrol Unit, the Community Patrol, the Dog Patrol Team, and the Korea Racing Authority.

The campaign will be conducted in a way that is easy for tourists and citizens to understand and participate in, highlighting the importance of “observing order.” In addition, an unconventional promotional activity will be conducted using horses dressed in police uniforms.

Meanwhile, since the beginning of this year, the Commission and the Korea Racing Authority have been collaborating to promote the work of the autonomous police.

The Commission and the Advisory Group will also divide into two groups and conduct joint patrols with the Haeundae Police Station, the Community Patrol, and the Dog Patrol Team along Gunam-ro and the coastal road of Haeundae Beach.

During the joint patrol, they will also hold a session to listen to and discuss citizens’ opinions on public safety.

In particular, the regionally focused activities of the Community Patrol and Dog Patrol Team serve as excellent examples of organic cooperation between the public and private sectors. The Commission plans to continue reviewing policy improvements for crime prevention and safety assurance during the summer season, while steadily working to enhance citizen safety.
