Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that, together with DaeSun Distilling Co. and the Busan Festival Organizing Committee (hereinafter the “Organizing Committee”), it will hold the “2025 Sponsorship Ceremony for the Development of Busan’s Local Festivals” today (18th) at 3:40 p.m. in the Protocol Office on the 7th floor of City Hall.

DaeSun Distilling Co. will deliver KRW 500 million in sponsorship funds at the ceremony. The sponsorship will be used to support the development of festivals hosted by the city and organized by the Organizing Committee, such as the Busan International Rock Festival and the Busan Fireworks Festival.
○ The Organizing Committee plans to support the promotion of DaeSun Distilling Co., carry out joint marketing initiatives, and implement other joint festival-related projects.

As a local company symbolizing Busan, DaeSun Distilling Co. provides annual sponsorship funds to support the stable hosting and development of local festivals organized by the Organizing Committee.

Leveraging the city’s culinary culture and its maritime and port characteristics, the city successfully hosted local festivals this year—such as the Busan Wheat Festival, “Taekchelin,” the Busan Port Festival, and the Busan Sea Festival—with enthusiastic responses from citizens.

Mayor Park Heong-joon said, “Thanks to the strong support of DaeSun Distilling Co., a proud local company of Busan, this year’s local festivals have made notable progress,” adding, “In order to advance as a global tourism hub city, we will successfully host our flagship festivals in the second half of the year, including the Busan International Rock Festival and the Busan Fireworks Festival, by embedding Busan’s unique color, thereby reaffirming to the world that Busan is a city of festivals. We also ask the Organizing Committee to make every effort to achieve this.”

Meanwhile, the Organizing Committee, established in 1997, has contributed to the development of Busan’s culture and tourism and the revitalization of the local economy by successfully hosting the city’s major festivals such as the Busan Wheat Festival, “Taekchelin,” the Busan Sea Festival, the Busan International Rock Festival, and the Busan Fireworks Festival.
