Park Heong-joon, Mayor, Inspects Busan Children’s Grand Park On-site… Creating a 15-Minute Living Radius Healing Park with Citizens

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that Mayor Park will visit Busan Children’s Grand Park, a healing park within a 15-minute living radius, at 4:55 p.m. today (12th) to engage with citizens and inspect the site.

This visit goes beyond a simple on-site inspection; it aims to hear citizens’ opinions on the improvement of walking trails and convenience facilities around the Chujagol sports facilities within the park and to share the vision for future revitalization of the park with the public.

During the visit, the Mayor will check together with citizens the implementation of civil request measures such as:
▲ Improving the access route to the restroom on the Chujagol slope
▲ Replacing worn-out sports mats
▲ Installing additional security lighting to ensure pedestrian safety at night

In addition, to create a better park environment, the Mayor announced plans to allocate the related project budget in the 2026 main budget to carry out a large-scale remodeling, including:
▲ Renovation of the area surrounding the Chujagol sports facilities in Busan Children’s Grand Park
▲ Installation of outdoor lighting
▲ Expansion of rain shelters

Meanwhile, the city plans to gradually improve the environment and facilities throughout the entire park, starting with this improvement project, so that citizens can use the park more conveniently and safely.

Mayor Park Heong-joon stated, “Busan Children’s Grand Park is a precious healing park enjoyed by all citizens across generations and social groups,” and emphasized, “We will actively reflect voices from the field and develop a dignified park through continuous and systematic facility upgrades and environmental maintenance, ensuring that citizens can use the park safely and comfortably.”
