Bokcheon Museum Launches “Bokcheon Exploration Challenge!” — A Permanent Exhibition Program for Children

Busan Metropolitan City’s Bokcheon Museum, a branch of the Busan Museum, announced that it will begin permanent operation of the exhibition-linked educational program for children titled “Bokcheon Exploration Challenge!” starting July 26.

This program is designed to help children visiting the museum understand the lifestyle and culture of the Three Kingdoms period in Busan through solving problems on the permanent exhibition activity sheets.

“Bokcheon Exploration Challenge!” will be conducted by distributing activity sheets and writing tools at the 1st floor information desk. Participants will explore the permanent exhibition halls and solve related questions. Children who complete all questions will receive a souvenir produced by the museum.

Through this tailored educational experience linked to the permanent exhibition, children can go beyond passive viewing to actively engage with the displays. The program allows them to explore relics excavated from the Bokcheondong Ancient Tombs and vividly experience the lifestyle and culture of the Three Kingdoms era in Busan in an enjoyable and immersive way.

Children who successfully complete all questions will receive a special souvenir featuring the museum's official character “Bokgooni,” helping them preserve the fun memory of their visit for a long time.

Seong Hyeon-joo, Director of Bokcheon Museum, stated, “This program was designed to help children recognize the museum as a more friendly and engaging space. Through active participation using the activity sheets, it also aims to enhance their understanding of our local cultural heritage.” She added, “By incorporating a reward system, we intend to encourage repeat visits and provide ongoing opportunities for cultural heritage education.”
