Busan Metropolitan City’s Green City Promotion Office announced that the 40th National Flower Mugunghwa Exhibition will be held for three days from July 25 to 27 at the Fountain Plaza of Song Sanghyeon Square.

This exhibition goes beyond a simple flower display and is designed as a comprehensive cultural event where visitors can engage all five senses to experience the true charm of the Mugunghwa.

The venue will showcase approximately 1,000 Mugunghwa flowers, including large varieties that have been lovingly cultivated for over 40 years. Various interactive programs will also be offered so that citizens can enjoy and participate in the celebration of the flower’s beauty.

At the "Mugunghwa Fan-Making Booth," visitors can create their own personalized fans, and at the "Mugunghwa Tea Tasting Experience," they can savor the deep fragrance carried by the flower. The "Mugunghwa Photo Zone," set up on the expansive lawn with large lettering and diverse floral decorations, is expected to become a must-visit spot for social media photos.

This year’s exhibition will also feature a special promotional zone in connection with the 106th National Sports Festival, which will be held in Busan this October. Through this unique collaboration, the city aims to promote "Busan, the city where flowers and sports meet," allowing visitors to feel the strong and beautiful spirit of Korean athletics—just like the Mugunghwa itself.

Han Young-jin, Director of the Green City Promotion Office, stated, "The Mugunghwa is a symbolic flower that embodies our history and spirit. I hope everyone—families, couples, and friends—will take this opportunity to revisit its beauty and meaning, and create a memorable summer experience together at Song Sanghyeon Square."
