Busan Metropolitan City Launches 2026 Hometown Love Donation Project Survey to Build a Warm Community

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced today (July 18) that it will conduct a two-week survey from July 18 to July 31 as part of efforts to promote the 2026 Hometown Love Donation Project.

As of July 14, 2025, since the project was first launched in 2023, Busan Metropolitan City (head office) has received 17,481 donations totaling KRW 1.67 billion.

To reinvest the accumulated Hometown Love Fund into the local community, the city conducted a demand survey from May to June targeting agencies under the head office, identifying six project candidates.

The proposed projects, which support socially vulnerable groups and enhance public welfare, include:

• ●“Eco-Friendly Healing Farm with Families of People with Developmental Disabilities”

• ●“Dream Band Project for People with Developmental Disabilities”

• ●“One Step of Possibility+” Soccer Camp for Families of People with Borderline Intellectual Functioning

• ●“Happy Sharing Bus” for a Safe and Caring Busan

• ●Public Transportation Support for Youth Preparing for Independence

• ●Mobile Shelter and Coffee Truck Support Project for Disaster Sites

The projects range in cost from KRW 10 million to KRW 210 million, totaling KRW 855 million.

The survey will be conducted via Naver Form and is open to anyone interested in city affairs. It consists of voting on project preferences and submitting ideas for future fund initiatives.

Projects selected through this survey will be finalized following deliberation by the Busan Hometown Love Fund Operations Review Committee and resolution by the city council in the second half of 2025, with implementation beginning in 2026.
