Busan Metropolitan City to Host the ‘2025 Wartime Capital Busan Content Contest’

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced the launch of the ‘2025 Wartime Capital Busan Content Contest’ for Busan citizens starting today (July 14).

The contest invites participation from individuals aged 15 and older who are Busan citizens with creative ideas related to the heritage of the Wartime Capital Busan and the initiative to inscribe it as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Entries must be submitted in the video category.

In addition, students aged 15 or older who are currently enrolled or on leave from high schools or universities located in Busan for academic purposes are also eligible, even if they are not officially registered residents of the city.

Those wishing to participate must submit an application form and their entry via email (hansori80@korea.kr) between July 21 and October 17, 6:00 p.m. Winners will be announced in November following a review process.

A total of six winners will be selected through internal and external evaluations, receiving the Mayor’s Award and a total of KRW 5 million in prize money.

The winning entries will be used in promotional initiatives related to the heritage and UNESCO inscription of the Wartime Capital Busan.
