A Golden Opportunity Amid the AI Transformation (AX): “AI Demand-Supply Company Matching Day” to Be Held

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it will host the “AI Demand-Supply Company Matching Day” at 10:30 AM on July 10 in the Grand Ballroom of the Asti Hotel Busan.

This event is designed as an advance promotional initiative to prepare for the 2026 “AI Voucher Support Project,” supervised by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA). It aims to foster collaboration between AI demand and supply companies and will be held jointly for the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (B.U.G.) regions.

The event will include a presentation by NIPA on major cases and project details, as well as an introduction to the High-Performance Computing (HPC) Support Project, providing key information on government initiatives related to AI adoption and development.

The “AI Voucher Support Project” enables demand-side companies that require AI technologies to partner with supply-side companies possessing AI solutions. Through this partnership, the government provides vouchers to support the integration of AI into product and service advancement and productivity improvement.

Through this event, the city aims to facilitate early exchanges and collaborations between demand and supply companies in the B.U.G. region, thereby expanding the local AI ecosystem and generating customized use cases for AI applications.

Eligible participants include small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Busan and Gyeongnam seeking to adopt AI solutions. Registration is open until July 7 via QR code or online form.

Since 2022, the city has been co-hosting the “AI Voucher Matching Day” with the Ministry of Science and ICT and NIPA, offering a platform for connection between companies engaged in AI development and adoption.

Additionally, the city has reflected regional voices in related projects and policies through roundtable discussions on the adoption and expansion of AI technologies among relevant institutions.

Jung Na-young, Director General of the Future Technology Strategy Bureau, stated, “In order to accelerate the AI transformation, events like this Matching Day—which bring together real demand from companies and technology suppliers—are extremely important.” She added, “Busan Metropolitan City will spare no effort in supporting businesses and building a robust AI ecosystem so that AI can seamlessly permeate various industries and aspects of civic life, paving the way to becoming a city centered around AI, led by the private sector.”
