Busan Metropolitan City Calls for Outstanding Senior Employment Enterprises

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it is accepting applications from companies wishing to be recognized as “Outstanding Senior Employment Enterprises in Busan for 2025” until July 11.
To promote the employment of older adults in the private sector, the City has been annually providing environmental improvement incentives to companies selected for their contributions to senior employment.

This year, Busan will select nine local companies that have contributed to increasing employment for seniors and provide each with an incentive of KRW 4 million to support the improvement of the working environment for their employees.

Eligible companies must employ at least five senior workers aged 55 or older, who make up at least 10% of the total workforce as of the announcement date (June 30, 2025).

The City will conduct a document screening process in August to finalize the selection of outstanding enterprises. The selected companies will receive a certification plaque at the Busan 50+ Job Fair, scheduled to be held at the end of September.

The Busan 50+ Job Fair, aimed at fostering a positive social perception and encouraging participation of middle-aged and older individuals, will provide on-site job interviews and employment consulting services for Busan citizens aged 50 and above.

Companies wishing to be selected as outstanding senior employment enterprises must submit their application via email (nys0212@korea.kr) by July 11.

Application forms can be downloaded from the Integrated Announcements page of the City’s official website (www.busan.go.kr/nbnews) or from the website of the Busan Senior Job Support Center (www.busan50plus.or.kr).

Please note that companies already certified as outstanding job creators by the City of Busan, or those receiving establishment or operational funding from the central government or local governments, are not eligible to apply.
