First Half of 2025 BU-UL-GYEONG Mega-Region Major Subcommittee Working-Level Meeting Held Today (June 26)

The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Megacity Economic Union Promotion Division (hereinafter referred to as the “Promotion Division”) announced that the “First Half of 2025 BU-UL-GYEONG Mega-Region Major Subcommittee Working-Level Meeting” will be held at 2:30 p.m. today (June 26) at the convention hall of Busan City Hotel.

○ The working-level meeting will be attended by directors-general and senior officials from departments related to mega-regional cooperation projects among Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam.

This meeting was arranged to share outcomes from the “3rd BU-UL-GYEONG Governors’ Policy Council” held on April 14 and to coordinate future directions.

○ Main topics of discussion include ▲performance results and future plans for core projects and citizen-focused initiatives in the BU-UL-GYEONG region, and ▲preparation of strategic responses to reflect 22 cooperative projects in the new national policy agenda.

Hwang Young-ha, Director of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Megacity Economic Union Promotion Division, stated,
“We will foster a shared awareness that Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam are part of a single living sphere, helping 6.7 million residents to tangibly experience this connection through over 60 cooperative projects across diverse fields such as culture, transportation, and welfare. Furthermore, the three cities and provinces will jointly respond to ensure that 22 cooperative projects are ultimately incorporated into the national agenda of the new administration.”
