“Integrity Together, Busan Shines Together” – 2nd Busan Integrity Union Club Launches!

The Busan Audit Committee (Chairman Yoon Hee-yeon) announced that the 2nd Busan Integrity Union Club, “Integrity Vibe”, was officially launched with a ceremony and workshop on June 23 at 3:00 PM at the Busan City Hotel.

The event was attended by about 100 participants, including the Chairman of the Busan Audit Committee, the Mayor’s Office, district and county officials, staff from the city-owned corporations, and public institutions’ integrity club members.

The club, named “Integrity Vibe”, aims to cultivate a culture of integrity among the city’s public sector and become a driving force for increasing Busan’s public sector integrity. The name symbolizes the collective efforts of the MZ generation (Millennials and Gen Z) staff, working together to promote integrity culture within Busan’s public administration.

Launched in October 2024, the first Busan Integrity Union Club involved 10 institutions, but this year, the scope was expanded to include city-owned corporations, public institutions within Busan, and external public institutions, marking the start of the 2nd generation.

The 2nd generation of the Integrity Union Club aims to strengthen cooperation and communication between these entities, increase citizen participation, and share integrity policies through collaborative efforts.

Participating institutions include:

• ●Integrity clubs from the City Government, districts, and public institutions

• ●Busan City Hall, Busan Metropolitan Police Agency, Busan Metropolitan Fire Department, Busan National University, and others.

The event involved:

• ●Sharing plans for joint activities

• ●Discussing action plans for implementing integrity practices

• ●Networking among public sector staff, especially the MZ generation employees

The event included a workshop to brainstorm and decide on joint action tasks that the Integrity Vibe group would undertake, as well as fostering collaboration and mutual support across departments.

Chairman Yoon Hee-yeon emphasized:

“We are looking forward to expanding the culture of integrity and improving Busan's public sector integrity rating with the collaboration of all institutions, from city government offices to public agencies. Through this program, we hope to contribute to creating a brighter, more transparent, and ethically responsible Busan.”
