2025 Busan International Rock Festival – Second Lineup Announced

The Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) has announced the second lineup of performers—18 teams—for the 2025 Busan International Rock Festival, which will be held from September 26 to 28 at Samnak Ecological Park.

This newly revealed lineup includes globally renowned acts such as:

• ●Suede, one of the leading bands of the 1990s Britpop boom in the UK

• ●Mika, a British singer-songwriter of Lebanese descent known for his powerful performances

• ●Jaurim, a celebrated Korean band

• ●CNBLUE, featuring vocalist Jung Yong-hwa from Busan

Suede, formed in 1989 and a key figure in the golden era of Britpop alongside Blur, Pulp, and Oasis, is headlining as the final major act. Mika, affectionately called “Kim Mika” by Korean fans, will make his first-ever festival appearance in Busan. Japan’s rising band MUCC is also scheduled to perform and engage directly with fans through their dreamlike sound.

Also included in the lineup are:

• ●Jaurim, celebrating 28 years as a leading Korean rock band

• ●Lee Seung-yoon, a breakout artist across broadcast and live music scenes

• ●Xdinary Heroes, currently on a successful world tour

Making an official comeback at the festival is Y2K, who recently returned as a full band through Hanil Top Ten Show. Also performing is WOODZ, riding the wave of popularity from his hit “Drowning.”

In addition, a pre-concert titled “Road to BU-ROCK” will be held in Seoul on June 21 and 22, giving audiences a preview of the festival's atmosphere. Japanese band SPYAIR, who delivered passionate performances at the 2023 and 2024 editions of the festival, will return to Korea once again for this event.

Applications are currently open until July 2 for "Rookies on the BU-ROCK", an audition program that discovers and nurtures emerging artists each year. The winning team will receive prize money, a performance slot at the 2025 Busan International Rock Festival, and a chance to perform at an overseas festival.

The second round of early bird tickets went on sale yesterday (June 18) through Yes24 (ticket.yes24.com). One-day, two-day, and three-day passes are available at a 10% discount from the regular price.
