“Deullak Nallak at City Hall” Presents Diverse Summer Exhibitions under the Theme Brilliant Blue Waves

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that through August, it will present a variety of media art exhibitions and curated book displays under the theme Brilliant Blue Waves at Deullak Nallak and other cultural spaces.

Media Art Exhibition: Media Wall
The Media Wall will display 12 works of digital media art, with the highlight being Light Wave, which represents gentle waves residing in the hearts of people. The light flowing along the wave patterns evokes images of glistening sea waves.

Other featured works include:

• ●Speed of Light, capturing the explosive energy of light and motion.

• ●Moon Floating Ocean, a piece inspired by the imagination of a moon drifting across the vast open sea.

Additionally, Deullak Nallak will host the Loop Lab Busan exhibition, a digital media art festival held in collaboration with the Busan Museum of Art.

Loop Lab Busan
Loop Lab Busan features reassembled digital imagery created in online environments. Curated by the Busan Museum of Art, the exhibition includes 8 works by 8 domestic and international artists, including Syriaque Haeris and Emanuela Cabu. Visitors can enjoy the exhibition directly at City Hall via the Media Wall without needing to visit the museum in person.

The city plans to continue collaborating with institutions such as the Busan Museum of Art to further enhance the quality of Media Wall exhibitions.

Book Curation: Summer Literary Selections
In harmony with the summer theme Brilliant Blue Waves, curated books are on display at Deullak Nallak and on the 3rd floor of the Open Library. The selections span a wide range of genres including literature, travel, environmental studies, marine ecology, and more—inviting citizens to fully immerse themselves in the emotions of summer, the sea, and nature.

At Deullak Nallak, children’s literature such as:

• ●Mystical Tales of the Blue Sea and

• ●Into the Depths of the Ocean by Linna Salamaaki (Borim Publishing)
  —10 books in total—are on display.

At the Open Library, selections include:

• ●Special Stories from the Sea, such as

• ●The Sea Loved by Painters by Jung Woo-chul (Afternoon Library Publishing)
  —also totaling 10 books.

Kim Gui-ok, Director-General of the Youth & Industrial-Academic Support Bureau, stated:
