Busan City Hosts Corporate Taxi Management Innovation Workshop for Transformation and Growth

The Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it will host the “Corporate Taxi Management Innovation Workshop” on Thursday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Haeundae Arpina.

Approximately 70 participants, including corporate taxi operators and key stakeholders, are expected to attend.

Overview of the Management Innovation Workshop

• ●Venue: Haeundae Arpina

• ●Participants: Director of the Transportation Innovation Bureau, corporate taxi operators, and other key stakeholders (approx. 70 people)

• ●Main Program: Special lectures on management innovation, emotional leadership for labor-management harmony, participant feedback collection

This workshop is being held for the second consecutive year to address critical challenges facing the corporate taxi industry, including:

• ●Decline in taxi ridership share

• ●Reduced operation rates due to fewer drivers

• ●Increased transport costs

The event aims to explore sustainable management strategies that allow the industry to adapt effectively to its rapidly changing environment.

The program includes lectures by experts on understanding the current reality, showcasing successful domestic and international cases of taxi business innovation, and strategies for emotional leadership that fosters labor-management harmony. There will also be sessions for collecting participant feedback.

The workshop is expected to play a key role in strengthening the competitiveness of the struggling corporate taxi sector, with a focus on collaborative and sustainable business practices, particularly through improved communication and harmony between labor and management.

Hwang Hyun-cheol, Director of the Busan Transportation Innovation Bureau, stated,

“To overcome the current management crisis in the corporate taxi sector and transition to a sustainable structure, full cooperation and participation are essential. I hope this workshop helps widely share key ideas across the industry and that company leaders take initiative in finding the best solutions. The city will also continue doing its utmost to support the sector.”
