Busan Metropolitan City to Hold “Targeted Customs Strategy Briefing and Consulting Session at Noksan Industrial Complex” to Overcome Trade Crisis

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) and Song Bok-cheol, President of the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, announced that the “Targeted Customs Strategy Briefing and Consulting Session” will be held on June 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Innovation Center Auditorium of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation in Noksan Industrial Complex.

This event is a follow-up measure linked to the activities of the “Busan Export Crisis Response Team.” It is based on a corporate field survey conducted in April to proactively identify the difficulties faced by exporters in response to U.S. tariff policies. The event aims to relieve the burden on local companies by providing essential information and expert consulting services on current global trade issues.

The event location was selected in Gangseo-gu, where approximately 49.4% of Busan's manufacturing workforce is concentrated, to maximize convenience for participating companies in the Noksan Industrial Complex.

Key sessions include:

• ●Presentations on global trade issues, U.S. tariff policy, and case studies of corporate challenges

• ●Guidance on exchange rates and hedging strategies

• ●Introductions to Busan’s export support policies, including emergency measures, financial programs, and accounts receivable insurance

• ●One-on-one consultations with experts in customs, legal affairs, and finance

KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) will present case studies on the impacts of global trade issues and U.S. tariff policies. Busan Bank will provide practical export-related information on exchange rate risks and hedging, and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, and Busan Credit Insurance Center will introduce support policies from each institution.

Export professionals from the fields of customs, law, and finance will offer one-on-one consultations to help companies overcome specific export challenges.

Companies in Busan wishing to participate must apply via the Integrated Overseas Marketing System (trade.bepa.kr) by June 12.
