Calling All Unsung Heroes: Volunteer Recruitment for the National (Para) Games in Busan

Mayor Park Heong-joon of Busan announced that from May 30 to July 6, the City of Busan will be recruiting volunteers for the 106th National Sports Festival and the 45th National Para Games.

The volunteers will play essential roles to ensure the successful hosting of the Games, supporting tasks such as operations at the main control center, opening and closing ceremonies, and venue information booths.

Volunteers will receive:

• ●Pre-event training

• ●Certification of volunteer hours

• ●Official uniforms and commemorative items

• ●Activity stipends
  These benefits are designed to promote personal growth and foster pride in being part of the Games' success.

The City plans to recruit 4,000 volunteers (3,000 for the National Sports Festival and 1,000 for the National Para Games) via the National Volunteer Portal (bs1365.kr).

Anyone aged 18 or older is eligible to apply.

Selected volunteers will assist during the Games with:

• ●Control room operations

• ●Opening/closing ceremony support

• ●Venue information guidance, etc.
  They will also participate in pre-Games events such as the volunteer launch ceremony.

Among the selected volunteers, 100 individuals will be appointed as “Leader Volunteers.” These leaders will manage:

• ●Volunteer attendance

• ●Task assignments

• ●On-site operations at each venue

All applicants will undergo a screening process. Results will be announced on July 14 via the National Volunteer Portal (bs1365.kr).
