Mayor Park Heong-joon of Busan announced that the 2025 Busan Youth 10,000+Culture Pass received overwhelming response, with all 8,500 available slots filled within just 8 minutes of opening on May 28.

The Busan Youth 10,000+Culture Pass offers young residents of Busan (ages 18 to 39) a special opportunity: pay ₩10,000 and receive up to ₩110,000 worth of cultural performance tickets.

Following its success last year, this year’s edition has once again proven its popularity.

Applications opened at 10:00 AM on May 28 via the Dongbaekjeon app. In the five days leading up to registration, the number of new users on the Dongbaekjeon civic platform tripled, and over 180,000 concurrent users accessed the app at the time of registration.

Despite the surge, the system remained stable and successfully completed the registration process.

Selected participants will need to register for and activate their Busan Bank Dongbaekjeon card, load ₩10,000, and prepare for booking.

The list of available performances will be revealed at 10:00 AM on June 9 via the Dongbaekjeon app, with immediate reservation options available—unlike last year, when reservations opened after the listing was released.

The pass can be used for designated performances recommended by the City of Busan, including:

• ●The global hit musical Aladdin,

• ●The classical concert Emperor and the Organ,

• ●Drama-musical packages, and more.

For popular shows, seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and may sell out quickly, so early booking is encouraged.

Future performance listings will include local festivals that gained great popularity in last year’s program, such as the Busan International Rock Festival.

Additionally, new events like the Busan Fireworks Festival and the spectacular Cirque du Soleil’s KOOZA will be added to the second round of listings.

Kim Kwi-ok, Director of the Youth & Industrial-Academic Support Bureau of Busan, stated,

“This program offers young people the opportunity to enjoy high-quality cultural performances without financial burden.
We will continue expanding cultural policies that young people can truly experience and strive to solidify this program as a signature cultural offering for Busan’s youth.”
