Job Opportunities in Japan, the United States, Germany, and Australia: “2025 Busan Global Job Matching Day” Kicks Off

The Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that it will host the “2025 Busan Global Job Matching Day” on May 27–28 at the Busan Eurasia Platform.

○ This marks the second edition of the event, following last year’s debut. It is designed to expand global job opportunities for Busan’s youth and strengthen their international competencies.

○ The event is co-hosted by the Busan Metropolitan City and the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and co-organized by the Busan Economic Promotion Agency and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.

A total of 46 companies from Japan, the U.S., Germany, and Australia will participate, offering positions in IT, construction, engineering, and services industries for 228 young talents from Busan.

○ The Overseas Employment Recruitment Hall features popular employers such as TechnoPro IT (Japan) and Sydney Duty Free Shop (Australia), offering on-site interviews and consultations. A total of 854 applicants submitted pre-applications for these positions during April–May, showing strong interest.

○ The Global Enterprise Recruitment Consultation Hall will include Busan-based global companies such as Autonics, a leading industrial automation firm. The consultation sessions aim to help young participants gain first-hand insight into global career development and company operations.

○ The Okinawa Tourism Industry Consultation Hall provides information on job opportunities, job descriptions, and working conditions in Japan’s tourism industry, catering to those interested in the field.

○ Side events include booths promoting youth employment policies by the City and the Ministry of Employment and Labor, as well as a personal color consulting program to support image-making and interview readiness.

Kim Gwi-ok, Director General of the Youth & Industrial-Academic Cooperation Bureau, stated,
